    • If you do not make your voice heard now the Department may recommend additional funding that jeopardises funding for CGM for those over 21 years.
    • Based on publicly available data the cost of CGM is as low as $8.22 /day. The cost of Freestyle Libre is $ 6.34 /day.
    • This equates to only $700 difference per year to ensure lifesaving alarm and secondary alarm capacity and the ability to link to an insulin pump. Tell the Department of Health that CGM represents better value for money for government expenditure as well as lifesaving capability.DANII believes it is important you to let the Department of Health know the following.
    • That you deserve the same protection from CGM as those under 21 years.
    • How CGM has/could assist you.
    • When considering ongoing funding for adults with Type 1 diabetes it is critical that the government determines life-saving technology with secondary alarm capacity of Continuous Glucose Monitors as the FUNDING PRIORITY.
    • The leading cause of death in Type 1 Diabetics under 40, is ‘Dead in Bed1 Syndrome’.
